South Tweed Bowls Club player Kelvin Kerkow, has started his campaign for a fifth Golden Nugget win.
The prestigious men’s and women’s singles tournament got underway at Tweed Heads this afternoon.
“You’ve got Mark Casey, Steve Glasson, Jeremy Henry – it’s a great field in the mens – Barry Lester from Victoria. So really anyone can win the event I think in the boys.”
“It does bring a lot of attention to the Tweed, and a lot of money comes into the Tweed.”
The winner will be crowned on Friday.
