A 19 year old man has been charged after allegedly driving a van at a female police officer overnight, forcing her to jump out of the way.
Police had attempted to stop the driver on Robina Parkway for a traffic offence.
Officers pursued the car, before the driver stopped and allegedly fled on foot.
He was later found and charged with numerous offences including drink driving.
Two passengers were also taken into custody.
