Star-gazers enjoyed a special treat last night.
A blue moon, turning on quite a show.
Our cameraman, Brad Marsh, filmed the lunar event from Piggabeen.
Blue moons typically refer to the second full moon in a calendar month.
But they can also be the third or fourth full moon in a season, as was the case last night.
As you can see the moon isn’t actually blue – but it was a lot brighter than normal.
