A powerful storm in the Hunter, has wreaked havoc with the final round of the Branxton Ladies Pro Am.

With half the field back in the clubhouse, the front runners hit the course this afternoon, only to have the tournament called off after a torrential downpour and threats of lightning.

Tamara Johns from the Sunshine Coast only had time to make par on the first, but was declared the winner after an opening round 67.

Samantha Whittle and Katelyn Must finished equal second after rounds of 69 yesterday.
