Newcastle’s Hunter Street could soon be transformed, if council approves a trial plan designed to provide more room for leisure activities.
It will include installing cycleways along a 1.6-kilometre stretch of the street, as well as extending the footpath to include seating, landscaping and bike racks.
The concept will go on exhibition on Monday.
