NATIONALS PLEDGE MORE MONEY FOR TENNIS CENTRE, BUT THERE’S A CATCH

The Nationals election campaign on the coast has intensified, with Candidate for Richmond Matthew Fraser pledging $250,000 to fast-track stage two of the Terranora Tennis Complex.

Current funding is enough to build three hard courts and half of the clubhouse.

The extra money would allow the project to be completed, along with an additional two clay courts.

“Clay courts is an absolute must for up and coming talent to practice on to be able to play in international circuits, the nearest clay courts are at Brisbane and Sydney.”

But it’s dependent on a double victory for the Coalition.

“Obviously we hope the Coalition wins, the coalition would have to win on Saturday but Matthew would have to be part of the team for the funding to be delivered.
