The Kootingal Kougerettes women’s premier league season has drawn to a close, after going down to Tamworth FC in today’s preliminary final.
Tamworth took a three nil lead in to half time.
But Kootingal wasn’t going to accept defeat, attacking from the start of the second stanza.
However the home side weren’t happy to just preserve their lead.
The visitors edged closer though as they found the back of the net.
But it proved to be the only goal of the second half, Tamworth FC taking the game 3-1.
The sky blues now meet the Oxley Vale-Attunga Vixens in next week’s grand final.
