Police have charged a young man who allegedly pulled a rifle during a daytime confrontation in a shopping centre carpark, stunning those who saw the incident in Wallsend.
The 18-year-old, and a 15-year-old girl, were arrested nearby, around 11am, when police stopped their van.
Both face charges of possessing an unregistered shortened firearm and ammunition.
