AARON ROYLE QUALIFIES FOR COMMONWEALTH GAMES

The Hunter’s Aaron Royle has ended a dramatic year on a high, qualifying for next year’s Commonwealth Games with a top eight finish at the World Triathlon Grand Final in London.
Three months ago he was isolated in a Spanish hospital, diagnosed with pneumonia and a hole in his lung.
Overnight he stuck with the world’s best for most of the race.
In the end, Spain’s Javier (harv-ee-air) Gomez won the race in a thrilling finish from England’s Jonathan Brownlee.
