It’ll be a case of ‘Hello Sailor’ over the next few days with Newcastle hosting several overseas warships.
First in was the USS Chosin, which will be joined by ships from China and Singapore.
They’re here to take part in Sydney’s International Fleet Revue, next week.
Around 750 foreign sailors will be on shore leave while in Newcastle.
The ships, berthed at Carrington, aren’t open to the public and a 60 metre security exclusion zone is in place.
