Sydney’s Ashley Radford has taken out the men’s singles final in straight sets at the Tennis Centre’s Open Championships in Port Macquarie today.
The multiple past winner took down his opponent Michael Power in the first set 6-3, and 6-4 in the second to win the match.
Almost 100 competitors from as far as Brisbane and Sydney took on the annual event, which has been running for over two decades.
Organisers hope next year will see more female competitors hit the courts, after a lack of numbers forced the cancellation of the ladies singles for the last two years.
