12 projects across the Far North Coast have have been canned as part of round five of the Federal Government’s Regional Development fund cutbacks.
Byron Bay’s Cycle track will no longer receive funding and Lismore Shire will also have to scratch its CBD car park shade structures, with almost $440,000 in funding withdrawn.
Other projects affected by the $2.5 million dollar budget cut, include Tweed Shire’s Bay Street redevelopment, Grafton’s Regional Aquatic centre, and the Casino Indoor Sports Stadium.
