Special recognition has been given to Sawtell Meals on Wheels.
The Coffs Coast charity has won a Food Service Sustainability Award from its parent association, for its work helping the community.
Not only have volunteers prepared and delivered meals for the elderly, they’ve also been supporting a transition to work program for young people with disabilities.
With help from the local Enterprise and Training Company, the teens have set up a community cafe known as the Lunch Hutt.
