It’s one of Australia’s longest running athletics events, and this year the Macksville Gift has once again attracted a competitive field.
In its 60th year, Newcastle’s Marty Sinclair is back to contest the event, after claiming line honours in 2011.
But he’ll have to put in an impressive performance to beat Nambucca’s Sam Kete (KETTY).
The 120 metre race will take place at 7:30 tonight.
Meanwhile, some of the country’s best sprinters will take on the women’s event.
And for a change of pace, the festivities also include a world championship banana throwing competition.
