WESTPORT PARK JETTY TO BE REPLACED
Work to replace the run down jetty at Port Macquarie’s Westport Park is now underway.
Structural failure forced council to remove the jetty, which will be replaced with a floating one worth $20,000.
Preliminary works included the removal of a large amount of sand, to ensure the structure operates as it should.
The floating pontoon will be used by both commercial and recreational vessels, and should be completed within two weeks.
