Organisers have taken a different approach to promoting this year’s Mayoral Ball to be held in Coffs Harbour.
To the amusement of passers by, live mannequins appeared in the front windows of formal wear shops.
Ball-goers are being encouraged to embrace a Great Gatsby fashion theme.
RSVP Bridal Spokeswoman Aniie Blair said, “I mean it’s optional, some people like to dress up which I do and some people will just come in cocktail gowns but we’re seeing lots of interest.”
Proceeds will go to the Ronald McDonald House Learning Program, providing tutoring for children in hospital.
