After day two of competition in the Special Olympics, the medal count and friendship tally is on the rise.
In Newcastle there were some hotly-contested five-a-side football friendlies.
While Maitland hosted ten pin bowling, with a strong Aussie contingent.
And there was no mistaking the favourites at The Forum.
There’s been plenty of action on the sidelines too, with badge swapping a popular pastime and a fair haul of medals to display.
Wednesday is a rest day for athletes – a chance to enjoy the region’s attractions including beaches, bush and wine country.
