‘RECLAIM AUSTRALIA’ RALLY ENDS PEACEFULLY ON GOLD COAST

The Gold Coast also hosted a controversial ‘Reclaim Australia’ rally.
Organisers were hoping for 2000 participants, but around 400 showed up.
The crowd spoke in support of cultural integration and against Sharia Law and Halal food.
There was a large police presence but unlike in capital cities today, there weren’t counter protests or violent clashes.

Great reporting, NOT. There were 1100 registration signatures, plus many people who did not sign in.
The Rally was not “controversial”. What is controversial is that media portray people that attend a rally such as this as racists.
Australians who love their country the way it is, and want to protect our way of life, are not racists.
400? Oh what rubbish,.at its peak it was estimated that there were easily between 1400 and 1500 people. As for expecting 2000, only some 800 had indicated they were attending so the actual numbers were far greater than initially expected. Serioudly, who reports “facts” in this manner?
The rally was approved by council and the “large police presence” was there purely because threats were made towards the rally participants from a radical left wing group who are opposed to Australians expressing their rights to freedom of speech. The condust of the rally itself was congenial and harmonious. Fortunately, unlike some other rallies held around Australia at the same time, the element who had threatened the safety of these people did not show and they were saved from the intimidation and violence that was experienced by a couple of other rallies.
1100 people signed the register on the day, not 400 as reported by you.
What’s your problem , disappointed that there was not violence to report? How about some accurate reporting and not making up figures ?
How about doing a story in support of the patriotic Australians who feel strongly about the threat to our future and loss of our way of life because of radical islamists.
It is wrong that ordinary Australians have to resort to public demonstrations over an issue that our government is failing to address.
As the two previous comments stated there were 3 times the amount of people at the rally, Once again you media people can never report the whole truth, you have to lie in your reports or make something either more drama than what it actually is or on the other hand something that was peaceful and informative a non event. You hung around all day waiting for trouble so you could make up more lies and dramatize once again. Why did you not report how the speakers were so informative and knowledgeable on what they were talking about? Why did you not say there were returned service men from Afghanistan who had seen first hand what happens? Why did you not report about the crowd singing along with Fish from Redgum ? It is no wonder people are hesitant to speak with you as you can Not be relied on to tell the truth……..
I find it implausible that a News Channel reporting on this rally could not give the truth on numbers who attended. Are not our Media meant to uphold some sort of truth? ….. apparently not.
I have now seen first hand that our Media is not to be trusted…..that they are biased and not able to report the truth….the question is why?
Why isn’t our mainstream Media reporting all the atrocities happening around the world in the name of Islam? Why are they not showing the truth on Islam and everything it means? Why are our Politicians, the ones meant to be protecting Australia and it’s citizens, not concerned about Halal certification, why are they not looking into this scam? Again why hasn’t mainstream media tackled this whole problem? Why are our freedoms which we have always enjoyed being slowly eroded over time to appease a minority, a minority who openly shows their hate for us and our way of life?
What is becoming more and more evident is that our Politicians and Media have failed us! Shame on you all,
I totally agree with you. I was one of the officials (yellow coat) and I myself signed on (registered) at least 180 people. It is a disgrace the way the media and politicians are handling this. The only way I see anything being done is for us ( all Australians) to unify. How do we do this ?? More rallies ??. The average Australian seems to be asleep!!
