A 28-year-old man has been charged over a string of armed robberies in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie since August last year.
Police have been looking into several robberies on businesses and licensed premises between August 2012 and February 2013.
Yesterday afternoon the man was arrested at Port Macquarie.
He was charged with multiple offences including four counts of robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon.
The charges relate to offences in Lambton, Windale, Dora Creek, Tunkuwalkin, Adamstown and Lake Macquarie.
