TRAIN STOPPED IN TRACKS

Around 80 passengers were stranded in sweltering conditions when their train broke down at Eraring, near Dora Creek this afternoon.
Emergency services delivered bottled water to the passengers while they waited to be transfered to another train and then buses to continue their journey north.
Temperatures in the area reached the high-thirties.
Rail workers were sent to make urgent repairs to the overhead powerlines.

I was on that train yesterday and there were no over heard wires damaged. Someone drove to the site, parked their car near the rail lines and waited for a train to come along. The Northbound train was first and they chose that one to end their life.
Teemas Day, I was one of the emergency services personnel there and it was due to the section on the roof that broke and disconnected from the wires that stopped the train I spent 3 hours shuffling passengers from one train to another and handing out water to those on the broken train there was not someone trying to take their life involved at all
