The Rees Government is under increasing pressure to rethink its plans, to use federal stimulus money to build public housing around the Hunter.
The Housing Minister was supposed to meet with Charlestown residents today, but had to cancel due to an emergency cabinet meeting.
But the protestors turned up anyway.
