Former Newcastle Knights player Zane Tetevano has been charged with alleged domestic related assaults on his partner.
Police say a 21-year-old woman made a complaint that she had been pushed, kicked and punched on several occasions between last November and April this year.
At an AVO hearing in Newcastle Local Court today, Tetevano was served with a court attendance notice for common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and intimidation.
Tetevano was sacked by the Knights last week after he pleaded guilty to smashing the windscreen of a taxi.
