DEVELOPERS APPEAL AGAINST COFFS COUNCIL HOTEL DECISION

The developers of a proposed $18 million hotel in Coffs Harbour will launch an appeal against council’s decision to reject the application.
BH Group spokesman Chris Bramley says the appeal will argue council’s over-ruling of it’s original decision in favour of the project was not justified.
He says council now faces a hefty legal bill to defend its decision.
Council claims the proposed site on the Pacific Highway is subject to flooding, and that the application does not meet height or parking requirements.
