A historical group has called on Wyong Council to honour its promise to fast-track the reconstruction of Alison Homestead.
Work to rebuild the burnt-out icon has been delayed, and there are concerns the project won’t be finished in time for important local celebrations.

Re Allison Homestead . The Mayor needs to know there are alot of angry people out there who believed the rebuilding of Alison Homestead was to be started a long time ago Why is he holding up the proceedings ? The 100year centenary is not that far away and My Mum who is quite aged and her past family are all pioneers of this area .This rebuild needs to start ASAP .so all of the local pioneers have somewhere relevant to celebrate this all important centenary .,after all the money is available isnt it Mr Eaton
all those wonderful dedicated volunteers at ‘alison’ homestead who have been struggling for over 2 1/2 years to keep the history and interest going in this founding ‘wyong’ bulding are getting tired of the continual phone calls to wyong council to get a definite date to rebuild and are in need of a an answer and not an excuse
how can the people of ‘wyong’ be treated like this?
without volunteers anywhere this shire would be in big trouble, in fact the country would be in trouble
they ask for nothing but respect
i may add that this building was insured, and i am sure none of us would wait this long to have our home rebuilt after a disaster
