Regional Express Airlines will continue its Taree and Grafton routes to Sydney for the time being.
The service was under review, after recording a 30 per cent decline in passenger numbers since 2008.
It says a global pilot shortage, the GFC and high fuel costs are all to blame.
The company has decided to implement a series of changes, which are yet to be determined, to bring the service back to profitability.
They’ll be discussed at the August board meeting.
