An 81-year-old man has died after his car crashed on the Gwydir Highway, 40 kilometres east of Glen Innes late yesterday.
Emergency services were called at about 3 o’clock, with reports a Ford Falcon had left the road and crashed into bushland.
The driver died at the scene.
