LOCAL TREES CUT DOWN WITHOUT COMMUNITY KNOWLEDGE
Some Bundall locals are livid, after six big trees lining Racecourse Drive were cut down without any community consultation.
“We should have had a bit of a protest about that one I think. If they’re not letting people know they’re doing it and they go in the dead of night then what can you do?”
“Part and parcel of progress I think.Sometimes certain trees have to go.”
Council says the trees were removed as part of the Turf Club’s multi-million dollar revamp, to make way for new disabled-access ramps.
It’s promised the remaining trees will stay.
