Tamworth’s Prince of Wales park, the site for a proposed Woolworth’s development, could soon have a new owner.
Chinese logistics company, Everich International, is set to acquire the land for $2.5 million.
According to Mayor Col Murray, half the proceeds will go towards constructing a regional playground at Bicentennial Park.
The sale has been given the green light from the state government and is expected to be approved at tonight’s council meeting.
