Tamworth Airport’s short term car park, which has been under construction since June is expected to be ready for use next Thursday.
The $1.2 million project aims to make finding a car park easier for flyers.
As part of stage one, the ground has been resurfaced, with asphalting and line marking to be carried out on Monday.
The expanded car park will soon be able to cater for 178 cars.
Stage two includes altering the kerbside, installing waiting bays for taxis and buses, as well as improving lighting.
