A Wee Waa man has been charged following an armed robbery in Armidale.
Just before 9 o’clock on Saturday night it’s alleged the 27 year old man threatened staff at a liquor store on Queen Elizabeth Drive armed with a sawn off shotgun.
The man fled the scene with a small amount of money – and no one was injured.
Investigations led police to a Brewery Lane address late yesterday where the 27-year-old was arrested and a firearm seized.
He was refused bail and will reappear in Armidale Local Court on July 23.
