ANOTHER SELF-MADE BILLIONAIRE DRAWN TO THE KNIGHTS

There are reports a British billionaire is interested in buying the Newcastle Knights.

Dr Marwan Koukash is a 55-year-old self-made billionaire who rescued a British rugby league club from financial strife last year, and has been linked to possible ownership of the team.

Former Knights premiership winner Matthew Johns revealed in an interview yesrerday, the affluent Englishman wants to extend his profile into the NRL on top of his vast ownership of race horses.

It follows Nathan Tinkler’s departure from the club in May.
