A 66-year-old man has been taken to Gosford Hospital after he was attacked by a dog at Ettalong Beach last night.
The man was walking along Ocean View Road at about 6.30 when a dog, believed to be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, broke free from its restraints and bit him.
The owner managed to restrain the animal, but the man had to be treated for puncture wounds to his calf.
