SOUTHS MOVE INTO WOMEN’S PREMIER HOCKEY FINALS CONTENTION

In Newcastle women’s hockey, Regals have moved closer to the minor premiership after a 2-nil win over Uni.
Souths beat Oxfords to jump into fourth.
Oxfords keeper Olivia Burling was the busiest player on the field, making several crucial saves.
She was eventually beaten, with Grace Jamieson doing the damage.
Burling continued to give her side a shot at victory, but Souths simply created too many chances.
