Since June last year, 12 people on the Mid North Coast have suffered major brain trauma as the result of alcohol fuelled violence.
On Thursday, the danger of coward punches was recognised at a Brain Injury Awareness Week event in Port Macquarie.
“When you’re out and about with friends, keep an eye out for each other and think before you act.”
A song written especially for the event about the consequences of one punch was also performed.
