Saturday’s Group Three rugby league game against Port Macquarie is a must win for Old Bar, with the Pirates sitting just one-point behind the Sharks.
If Old Bar wins the game, the club will face Kempsey in the preliminary semi-final next weekend.
The side will be bolstered by the return of captain-coach Danny Russell, but lock Jake Wheeler is out with a broken thumb.
Centre Daniel Morris will also miss the game due to a facial injury.
