Back in 1982, the Gold Coast Eisteddfod was born… Boasting 6-hundred performers. In 20-14, that number has sky-rocketed to 70-thousand.
The reputation of the six-week event has also grown- it now attracts performers from as far away as Western Australia.
Today, was a chance for young musicians to enjoy the spotlight.
“Culture is well and truly alive to see so many fantastic children dancing singing playing instruments I think it’s underrated just have much talent we have all our adjudicators say it’s the best they’ve seen anywhere in the country”
Music, dance and drama sections run until mid-September.
