NOVY’S HUSBAND TO STAND TRIAL FOR CHILD RAPE

The husband of missing Upper Coomera woman, Novy Chardon has been committed to stand trial on child rape and indecency charges.

Southport Court today heard the alleged offences happened between March and April last year, about a month and a half after John Chardon’s wife, Novy, went missing.

67-year-old Chardon is accused of raping a girl under the age of 12, indecently dealing with a child, and exposing himself to the alleged victim’s brother – who was also under 12.

The court was told the siblings are related to a former employee of Chardon’s.
