FORMER SKIPPER RETURNS FOR THE W-LEAGUE JETS

A phone call from coach Peter McGuinness has prompted Hayley Crawford to come out of retirement and play for the W-League Jets.
“Been enjoying my football in Sydney, still feel like I’ve got a bit left in the body to give, Pete gave me a call and asked what the possibility was and I thought why not while I still can.”
Crawford, Ashley Spina and Cassidy Davis were three of eight players added to the squad today.
The former skipper believes the Jets are shaping up nicely ahead of round one on September 14.
“I think with the right balance of experienced players and the up and coming I think we can get finals football this year which is what we want to strive towards.”
