MOREE READY TO TACKLE ILLEGAL DUMPING
Moree Plains Shire Council has received $100,000 from the Environmental Protection Agency to combat illegal dumping in the area.
Funding comes from the EPA’s Clean Up and Prevention Program, and will be spent on better signage at hotspots, and the installation of surveillance cameras.
Council reminds the public that anyone caught illegally dumping rubbish risks an on-the-spot fine or prosecution in the Land and Environment Court.
