World rally car drivers attracted a big crowd to the centre of Coffs Harbour
this afternoon ahead of Rally Australia , which starts tomorrow..
The main street was closed to traffic to let thousands of local residents and visitors see the stars and their cars up close as part of a civic reception.
The only Australian competing in the top division, Chris Atkinson, seemed to be the most popular.
Rally Australia is expected to attract more than 13,000 visitors to the Coffs Coast, injecting an estimated $12 million into the regional economy.
