CHANGES TO RECREATIONAL FISHING LAWS IN NSW

16 recreational fishing rules in New South Wales have today been changed by the state government.
The changes include a catch and release requirement for Murray Cod caught at more than 80 centimetres.
95 per cent of Murray Cod at Copeton Dam are stocked fish and now two per person can be taken from the dam during the closed season.
“It’s great to see Copeton Dam has been nominated as the first place, it’s going to be great for the economy in Inverell and around that area because a lot of people fish Copeton Dam and it’s probably the premier cod spot in New South Wales.”
