Tamworth has joined its Evocities counterparts in a bid to secure a mountain bike series for seven regions across the state.
The competition would take place next year, staged in regional cities including Albury, Armidale and Wagga Wagga.
“They would bring numerous people and numerous visitors and of course that’s just good for our economy, so we are currently looking for a sponsor for that event and I don’t say a sponsor for Tamworth but a sponsor for that event across New South Wales and across the seven evocities.”
Evocities is a campaign created to encourage capital city dwellers to make the move to a regional city.
