NEW COACH FOR WESTON BEARS

Just a few days after sacking coach Steve Piggott, Weston will formally appoint his replacement, Trevor Morris, at a special meeting tonight.

“First and foremost we’ve got to make sure the players are comfortable with what’s going on. I don’t want to lose a single player.”

Morris was the Bears’ first grade coach from 2002 to 2005.

This time around, he’ll start with a one year deal.

“I haven’t coach first grade for 10 years, even though I’ve been involved for the last three years with youth development and that, I’ve still been in and around the place.”
