The Jets preseason has taken another bizarre twist, with striker Joel Griffiths suffering an injury in his kitchen, which is likely to rule him out of tomorrow’s clash with the Young Socceroos at Gosford.
“I just popped something in my hip and yeah I was getting the milk. I’m not even lying that’s the funny thing.”
Griffiths was a special guest at the John Hunter Children’s Hospital today, as the Jets launched a program which will see players visit sick kids more often.
Now in remission from leukaemia, Dudley Redhead junior Jacob Cooper received a gold membership.
“How do think the Jets will go this season? They’re going to just beat everyone.”
