A light plane crash in the US state of Alaska has claimed the lives of an Australian couple.
The Gold Coast owners of Choice Homes, 64-year-old Steven Knight and his 60-year-old wife, Gillian, were enroute from Fort Yukon to Fairbanks.
Steven was the pilot and contacted air traffic control, but the plane soon disappeared from radar screens.
The pair had been enjoying a flying safari with two other couples from the Southport Flying Club.
