KELLY TO FINALISE SQUAD IN COMING WEEKS

Butcher Boy Rowan Kelly says he’s hoping to lock down his squad for 2015 within the next two weeks.

The prop forward was appointed as Central’s new player/coach late yesterday, but admits former boss Matt Lantry had to convince him to accept the duel role.

“Originally said no because I didn’t want it to affect how I played. I want to keep playing for as long as I can.”

Kelly will consider potential new signings, but won’t be chasing too many new faces.

“We had a pretty good squad this year but just had a fair few injuries. If we can keep everyone healthy and get a bit of luck that would certainly help us.”
