MAN DIES AFTER PARAGLIDING CRASH

A man has died in a paragliding crash north west of Tamworth.
Emergency services were called to the crash at Mt Borah at around 6pm yesterday evening.
The paraglider, a 25-year-old German National, was airlifted to Tamworth Base Hospital but he died on arrival.
Officers from Oxley Local Area Command have been told the paraglider stalled in the air, lost altitude and hit the mountainside.
Inquiries are continuing into the crash and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

  1. This is a quite dangerous sport if it’s done without propper training. A lot of people are dying because they don’t know what to do when you are in flight. I recomend that those who want to practice this wonderful sport to do a training course before they start flying. I could recommend ParaglidingZone as a good place to start.
