A huge crowd stood stunned overnight, watching flames ravage popular walking spot Burleigh Headland.
Rangers suspect illegal campers are to blame, for the blaze that destroyed a large section of the National Park.
Today, the ocean view walking track was closed, mainly because of the threat of rocks falling.
The fire burnt away many trees and shrubs so boulders are now exposed and unstable.
The track will reopen on Saturday.
