END OF ERA FOR HUNTER SPORTS ACADEMY CEO
Ken Clifford has retired from the helm of the Hunter Academy of Sport, after 27 years.
The Newcastle sporting identity has been instrumental in growing the academy as Chief Executive Officer, since its inception in 1988.
Mr Clifford lists his greatest achievements as; the creation of the Festival of Sport, establishing the Greater Scholarship Programme as well as the Hunter Region School Sports Awards Programme.
“It’s going to be hard not coming into the office every day, but I plan to busy myself with all the jobs I haven’t had a chance to get to over the years. It will also be good to spend some quality time with my family, ” said Mr Clifford.
The search for Mr Clifford’s successor is currently underway.
