COFFEE DONATIONS TO HELP HOMELESS

A coffee shop in Taree has thrown its support behind a local initiative, which aims to help those in the community experiencing homelessness.
Customers at Graze Coffee Lounge in Victoria Street, now have the option of donating the cost of every eighth coffee on their loyalty card to ‘The Night Shift Project’.
“We knew about the Night Shift Project who work with Swags for the Homeless. They provide swags for people in need of accomodation and bedding and we thought it was a good match.”
Thank you for this support which will enable Swags for Homeless to provide more Backpack Beds to street sleeping homeless people without shelter.
The Backpack Bed weighs approx. 2.9 kilos. It contains a built-in mattress and rolls up to be worn as an ergonomic backpack. With fire retardant protection it is also waterproof, windproof, mildew resistant and meets 47 international standards for safety and quality.
Backpack Beds are distributed via more than 270 welfare agencies across Australia to homeless people in need – including the Taree area.
